ACTIVITIES

The Petersfield Inbetween Club staff promotes and encourages ‘free play’ during each session, although children can do their homework if they wish.  A selection of floor toys and arts and craft activities are put out for the children to do each day.  Children are supervised at all times and make full use of the paved areas and the adjacent field in fine weather. The club offer inside & outside play throughout the year.

ABOUT  US

The Petersfield Inbetween Club was established in 1996 with grant money from the Petersfield and Liss Under Eights Forum (PLUEF) and the Hampshire Training and Enterprise Council.

The club is managed by a committee of volunteer parents (new committee members and volunteers are always welcome - please contact the supervisor if you would like to volunteer). The club is a 'not for profit' and self funded organisation and registered with Ofsted (no: 110201) with a maximum capacity of up to 50 children per session.

The club is run by a team of qualified Playwork and Childcare staff supported by volunteers.  All staff and volunteers are required to have Enhanced Disclosure checks and all staff wear a uniform.  At least two members of staff hold a level 3 Playwork qualification and several qualified First Aiders are on duty each day.

The Petersfield Inbetween Club offers a quality play and childcare service Monday – Friday during term time only for children aged 4-11 years. Opening times are 3pm – 6pm and the cost is £12 per session per child (cost includes a snack tea).

A walking bus service is in operation to collect children from Petersfield Infant School at 3.10pm and from Herne Junior School at 3.30pm. The staff walk the children back to the club at the Avenue Pavilion. Fluorescent tabards/jackets are worn by all children and staff on all walks.

If a child is unable to attend the club on any given day, it is essential to let child’s class teacher and club supervisor know.

Places are in high demand and we currently have a waiting list. Priority will be given to present members and their siblings and those booking five days per week. However we can offer occasional places in emergencies.

Parents / carers book places not individual sessions: missed places must be paid for (the only exceptions being Inset Days and long term illness).
